The power imbalance between humans and elephants led us to build our company and our foundation. Elephants are unable to defend themselves against humans or speak to us on their own behalf, so they need as many people, companies, and organizations like QUERKO / GREEN QUERKO as possible to be their voice.
Humans have dominated the planet beginning centuries ago, and this process is now irreversible. It is clear that the ongoing global economic development that expands the range of human activities and thus decreases the living area of these beautiful animals, along with continued poaching, leave these amazing creatures at serious risk. GREEN QUERKO supports other organizations acting on their behalf, organizing all kinds of actions and events, but also seeks to create safe oases for orphaned, injured, and all elephants in need of help.

Creating an animal sanctuary is a complex process that requires a tremendous amount of work, an enormous number of people, and of course a steady stream of financing. It is precisely in connection with the financial needs of this work that we launched QUERKO.
GREEN QUERKO does not follow the example of other foundations that say, "Give us money, then we will help." Of course, we do not exclude the use of external finance, but we focus primarily on the structure we have invented, which we assume will be sufficient to fund the foundation.
